QUIZZICAL....

So. Imagine there are 3 doors. Behind 2 of the doors is a big pile of dog poo but behind one of the doors is Dick Turpin, naked except for his mask and tricorn hat, rolling around on a big bed of money and diamonds and shoes.

Let's call the doors A, B and C.

I ask you to choose one.

I then tell you that out of the 2 doors remaining (let's say you said B), door A has shit behind it, which leaves you with the option of sticking with your original choice, B or changing your mind and switching to the other available door, A.

Now, as far as my brain can process, your chances of picking the poo door are 50/50, and i would always stick with my first choice...

Apparently, this is WRONG and you stand a better chance of getting Dick Turpin and his spoils if you switch when given the opportunity.... It's been explained to me as switching statistically gives you more chance of winning but i still don't understand....

Discuss.

Or not.....
